Serial co-founder & designer

Alexander Schüssel Moen

I graduated high school in 2015. The same year I started advising some of Norway’s largest companies on product development and design. Over the past 10 years, I’ve co-founded and built multiple startups and projects, from problem to exit.

2022-2025

Tings was a circular consumer platform that automatically built a digital inventory of the things you own, using integrations with major retailers and email-based receipt data. In collaboration with companies like IKEA, Elkjøp, Eplehuset, Anton Sport, and Naturkompaniet, we built a product that reached 50,000 users, registered over one million items, and at one point accounted for 1% of all new listings on FINN. I was co-founder with end-to-end responsibility for product, design, and marketing.

2021

Share was a startup built at Railway to make borrowing cars from friends safe and simple. We reduced social and financial risk by introducing temporary insurance in partnership with If, covering deductibles during loans, and a trip calculator to fairly compensate owners. Through partnerships with If and NAF, the app grew to 5,000+ users with minimal marketing. As Head of Design, I shaped the concept, user experience, and brand in close collaboration with the team.

2020

SpotOn was a digital service that made booking electricians simple by standardizing and automating the entire process from need to completed job. Users could get instant fixed pricing, choose a time, and book certified professionals through a seamless flow. In partnership with Elektroimportøren and their nationwide network, we built a scalable service combining configurator, booking, logistics, and quality assurance. I had end-to-end responsibility for product and design.

Before we changed name

2019

Orbit was a proptech platform that enabled people to work anywhere by aggregating unused office space and making it accessible in real time through a single subscription. By connecting space providers with users, we increased utilization and created a flexible workspace network. Used by partners like OBOS, R8 Property, and Evolve, the platform combined booking, access control, and data to match supply and demand. I was a ghost co-founder responsible for brand, product, design, and marketing.

2018

Oi was a banking app developed in collaboration with Gjensidige Bank, aiming to make banking more relevant by focusing on real everyday financial problems. It gave users a balance they could actually trust by automatically accounting for fixed expenses and showing what was safe to spend. By analyzing transaction data, it turned a static bank balance into a proactive and understandable financial overview. Features like expense categorization and daily budgets helped users make better financial decisions. I was responsible for concept, branding, and product design.

2017

Lytte is a platform for internal leader communication that enables organizations to share short, personal audio messages at scale. In a fragmented digital landscape, it helps leaders cut through noise and ensure important messages are actually heard. The product combines simple recording, distribution, and feedback to create more engaging and effective communication. Used by companies like Orkla, Glitre Energi, and UiT, I had end-to-end responsibility for product, design, and marketing.

2017

Flyt was an energy app that gave users control over their electricity usage and costs by turning a complex expense into a predictable one. Through real-time insights, alerts, and smart estimates, it helped users understand their consumption before the bill arrived. The product combined usage tracking, proactive notifications, and integrated payment into one experience. I was responsible for brand, product, design, and marketing materials.
